Other techniques such as applying practices of aromatherapy or listening to mood lifting music have also proven to be helpful for many people. These two techniques are basically the root of meditation in which you take time to relax and change your focus from the stress agent. If these techniques work for you, then by all means they are worth using and certainly can do no harm.

And finally, if we have not hit upon anything yet that you think will help zap that stress from your body, you might want to consider a good massage. Often, an underlying contributor to stress can be due to muscular tension and soreness. Combine a good massage with some relaxing and soothing music and you may just find this a ticket to stress reduction.

No matter what stress reduction method you may put into practice, an important thing to remember is to consistently give yourself some time each day for a stress break - a focus change or a mental vacation. If you do this, you’ll soon find that you’ll get better and better and more efficient at your stress breaks and you’ll be able to more naturally relieve your stress when you need to.
